BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEPHROLOGY NURSING
Chairmain: Prof. Dulce Aparecida Barbosa, PhD.
Definition:
The Brasilian Association Nephrology Nursing (SOBEN – “Associação
Brasileira de Enfermagem em Nefrologia”), civil society, which
assembles nursing professionals, was founded in 1984.
It is a collective group: of private law; of cultural, scientific
and attendance character, which administers itself with statute,
rules and regulation dispositions.
Purpose:
SOBEN has as purpose:
- To assemble professionals of Nephrology Nursing department (Nurses,
Technicians and Auxiliaries) and to encourage union and solidarity
among classes.
- To promote the technical scientific development of members of
Nephrology Nursing in Brazil.
- To promote integration with the others representative nursing
collective group and at the protection of career interests.
- To articulate with other collective groups of Health department
and of pacients, defense mechanisms of a Health policy, what refers
to, mainly, Nephrology.
- To represent Nephrology Nursing at the career interest decisions
especially what refers to the questions os health and education.
- To promote interchange whith National and International Associations
for the professional and scientific development of the members.
- To release works and studies of Nephrology Nursing interest
keeping periodic release organ (Boletim Informativo – BI).
- To promote and to stimulate research ( Scientific Department).
- To promote Symposiums, Courses and Congress to release knowledge
of this speciality.
This Association assembles today 4200 members:
- 2177 nurses;
- 1271 nursing auxiliaries;
- 752 nursing technicians.
Yearly SOBEN offers Witnessing Course of Nephrology Nursing Specialization
and the same course through internet, having as a partner Federal
University of Sao Paulo, to graduated nurses and it offers courses
of atualization to nursing technicians and auxiliaries.
Actually it is engaged in politics discussions with ohter collective
groups aiming maintenance of patient treatment who has Chronic Renal
Insufficiency.
